Boasting Australia’s picturesque Hunter Valley Wine Country as our backdrop, The Convent is a charming retreat perfect for exclusive conferences, company board meetings and intimate corporate events.
The 1909 retreat, was originally home to the Brigidine Order of Nuns in Coonamble, located nearly 600kms west of the Hunter. The Brigidine Room, is a purpose-built Executive Boardroom, including 60” LCD TV, wireless broadband and the flexibility to accommodate a variety of conferencing styles.
The Convent is an ideal base from which to explore the many delights of the Hunter Valley region such as wineries, hot air ballooning, and joy flights.

The Convent is nestled within one of Australia’s premiere wine regions, affording delegates the great opportunity of visiting multiple vineyards in one day, all of which offer their own unique blends. Tours can be by bike, mini bus, car, or even helicopter (depending upon the size of your event).
